Anyone have problems getting on to the quiz today? Keep trying and it says "bad user ID":sigh

I forgot all about it yesterday Jackie, messing about with other things.....:blush :blush

But have just done it today.....rubbage as usual, but I got onto it ok....

can anyone explain the scoring system on the FTQ please?????????????????????????

Must admit it baffles me at times Dave. To me it would be much better if you got bonus points for the time it was done in. As it stands it looks at though it all depends on how many folk play and the overall winner gets one more than anyone else. It does seem unfair that you could have 7 right (for instance) and someone else gets only 4 right and u get the same number of points cos there are only 4 folk playing

Have looked up in the Admin. section and this is what it says re scoring......

How does the scoring system work?
The total points awarded each day is based on how many players play that day.

This makes sense because you naturally should get a lot more points if you beat 30 players than if you beat 2.

For this reason, there will be a different number of points awarded each day.

Ties go to the player playing first for that day.


So Bruce has more or less got it right!!!

You know what I realized doing this trivia? There are an awful lot of songs that I mumble through a few words because I know the song, but dont know the exact word to fit in the lyrics - Example: Eagles - Hotel California... I think I always sing it collegiance I make up my own words to fit sometimes.

Anyways, I did score 54 - I got 15 points knocked off because I wasnt sure of the last thing I was born before... sigh.

Great Quiz though Tons of fun.
