| Take the road out of the airport, I think there’s only one (follow exit), as you leave the airport grounds turn right where signposted for Yaiza. Follow the road as it bends around and takes you onto a main road (Lanzarote’s equivalent to a Motorway). Make your way to the leftmost (fastest) lane. After a kilometer or so take the left turn signposted “Puerto Del Carmen”. Follow that road, past a pair of petrol stations on either side and then after another kilometer or so take the right turn signposted ‘Circunvalacion’, this takes you onto another main road. Continue for approx 4 km, past the turn off signposted ‘Rancho Texas’ until you see a sign for Puerto Del Carmen - actually there’s a sign saying Puerto Del Carmen straight on then another about 20 yards further saying turn right. Come off this main road at that right turn and follow that slip road around till it joins another road. This is Calle Juan Carlos and leads into the Old Town. Are you familiar with Lanzarote ? Are you familiar with driving on the 'wrong' side of the road and left hand drive etc ? Ole

Yes this will be the 8th visit. We normally just get picked up but this time were hiring a car whilst were on the island and so will be getting ourselves to and from the airport. Thanks again for the directions. Cris |

| OK Cris, just be a little careful at first because before you know it you're on a 2/3 lane highway and if like me you're used to UK driving everything is on the 'wrong side' Cheers - Ole
