Relocating to PB

Hi all. have been a visitor to Lanzarote for many years. I've now decided that the time is right to relocate to somewhere a lot warmer and less frantic than Ireland. I've been looking at the estate agent sites and have done a bit of reconnaissance on past trips and think that PB is the place I'd like to settle. PdC is more expensive property wise and PB seems more laid back. I like the area around Playa Flamingo and properties in Carlos Park or Faro Park seem to be both in my price range (around €280-300k) and the right size. Thankfully work isn't an issue altho' if something part-time came up I'd certainly be up for it. Has anyone experience of the properties around those areas. I'm looking at it as a permanent home and there would be family visiting from time to time. Has anyone any good links to other property in the area that might be for sale and what would you think of PB as a place to live permanently.

move

Hi Dustin, I would strongly recommend you rent for a year before you decide on a property, as we did 3 years ago. This will give you a better idea of where in Playa Blanca is right for you and also which estate agent will give you the most helpful advice.
Good Luck

Thanks for that Tortugarum. That was in my mind too. I'd seen some properties in those areas for medium letting and I guess it would also put you on the ground too, so if something right came along there'd be no flying back & forward trying to sort it all out. I want to do this right as I'd hopefully be spending many years in Lanz. I'll be heading over again in a few weeks for a more detailed recce. Will keep the forum posted. Hopefully once I get settled can have a villa-warming bbq lol :lhwc

Hi,
Try www.groupoestependo.com they are really helpful.
Short and long term lets and property sales all over the island.
They will help with re-location advice, legal issues, contacts etc.
We are moving shortly to the same area from uk.
I hope it all goes well for you in Lanzarote and good luck.
