Doctors/Medical Facilities

Okay so I'm studying Hotel and Catering Management and I have a mandatory work placement from June to December. I will most likely working be in Princesa Yaiza in Playa Blanca. I have Crohn's disease and as well as taking medication (which my doctor has said I will probably be able to get there) I get three monthly blood tests, one of which falls in August. My doctor has said before she can give me a prescription I have to guarantee I can get my blood test while over there.

So I'm asking what doctors/medical facilities are there in Playa Blanca and does anyone know a way I can guarantee I can get the necessary blood tests over there? I can't make an appointment five months in advance, I won't, for obvious reasons, have working hours till I'm out there. I really don't know how I'm meant to guarantee something so early. Also is it possible to get my medical record sent over or something because although I have been getting this blood tests for almost six years I have no clue what they are. I know they check the tablets aren't having harmful side effects but that's it. I'm aware of some of the side affects but I couldn't name any of the tests.

So to sum up that rambling post, medical facilities in Playa Blanca, a way to guarantee treatment so early and a way to let them know what exactly it is I need done when I don't know myself.

There is an excellent public "NHS" clinic in Playa Blanca, near the large roundabout. You need an EHIC card. Have used them for chest infections and first aid. Not sure about long term health conditions. Can the employers you are working for give you any information? Have you got your illness covered in your travel insurance. If so, then a private clinic may help too.
