Lanzarote heaven or hell ?

We are just re-locating to Lanzarote from the u.k. and wondered whats your opinion of life over there?
We realize it will be hard work and long hours.
We have been to the island several times and know it fairly well as well as fuerteventura.
We are learning Spanish and checking into the pro,s and cons.
Thankyou

Smile Hi

Hi,
Good luck - Ensure you have plenty of time to get anything done, particularly paperwork and tax registration for a business etc - it is a bureacratic nightmare, everything has to have a "stamp" and it drives me mad. Since the Euro its no longer cheap, and as for work - limited choice and poor pay for lots of hours (for the majority) - Best thing is the weather - and perfect for the retired.
Hope the business goes well - make sure your cycling tourists are insured - I forgot to mention the spanners drive like they are being chased by the devil possessed ! Crazy:lhwc

Learning Spanish is probably one of the very best things you can do. :trophy

Integration into the whole community will be that much easier if you speak the lingo, even a little bit.

Good luck with your plans.:cool
