Couple of questions?

Hi guys and girls, new here and I've just got a few questions to ask. Firstly, me and my girlfriend are thinking of just up and leaving the horrible UK and moving over next summer. Now before we do this I'm just wondering a few things first, how hard is it to get work? Bar work, any work really, and what are the main type of jobs? How much money roughly would we need to come over to survive before finding jobs etc? That is pretty much it, any other info anybody can give would be greatly appreciated.

you will see on all the forums craig that work is very hard to come by at the moment.bar work is probably your best chance though,but its not well paid.

I'd budget on 3 months rent and food money if you're coming over, that way you have time to settle in and find work before you're worrying about your savings running out. You can generally find something but it may not be the hours or pay you want!! You need to be here to find work and don't be shy - you find jobs by word of mouth so you have to go and ask around.
