Fines for illegal holiday letting on Lanzarote

Does anyone know anything about the inspectors being on Lanzarote and Fuerteventura issuing fines for illegal holiday lets ? The Canaries Owners Legal Action (C.O.L.A.) campaign are saying that they began work on Lanzarote last November and have been issuing fines in Tias and La Calma along with a list of some fines, but it is funny no one has mentioned it here ?

There is now a petition set up to try to change the law.
