temptation

i know that we are off on our hols in june, but this cold weather is getting us down. i am struggling with the temptation to do one and bugger off to lanza in january.its not my fault, its the travel agents!!!!!! they keep sending me emails and brochures for next year.
can anyone recommend a top all inc. hotel in costa teguise? not bothered about the facilities, (sports etc) as long as it has a few bars, good food, close to the beach and not too hectic.
cheers

dave o

Thumbs up Me TOO!!

The novelty has worn off, I want lots of snow or nothing!
As for getting away, very tempting.
Have been to Costa in Feb before, stayed in Los Zocos. OK as a base, great if you like the "birdie" song, and I am the music man "every night" Weather was fine, pool was for penguins,if you know what I mean.
I much prefer Matagorda or Playa Blanca.
Stayed at the Beatrix? last year in Matagorda, very nice, good location, nice walks, very handy to explore the island if you have a car.
My favourite is Playa Blanca . Would recommend he Hesperia Dorada, good hotel, great location, you can walk anywhere within 45 mins if you wanted to.Good selection of bars and resturants at marina rubicon or along to front near the port. To get out and about you do NEED a car.
"Got me thinking now"

Good luck.

p s as you appear to be a "toffee" fan, my brother in law used to play for them! Remember when you beat Man U in the cup? Well Paul Rideout scored the winning goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for that ted, i will have a look online.
Paul Rideout is a legend at goodison and still talked about on the fan sites. give him my regards and tell him to put in an appearance at one of the ex player functions that they have. he will be most welcome im sure. what is he upto these days?

Re Paul Rideout

Hi Dave
Paul now lives in "Kansas"! He is a football (oops) Soccer coach at one of the local universities.
after leaving Everton he played for a few other teams including going north of the border and playing for (dare I say it) at the risk of annoying our resident "renegade" scot, RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!
He also played in China of all places for a couple of seasons, whilst waiting for his green card to go through.

I will pass on your regards.
