Re Paul Carroll

Hi Leo,
If its the same guy that was "Lanzalink" estate agency, then I suggest asking around other agents. They may know more of his whereabouts.
I have not had any dealings with the man myself but a friend of mine was somewhat less than satisfied with his service!!

Good luck.:sigh

Paul Carroll

I'm looking for Paul Carroll who would have been involved in Paros Villas SL in Lanzarote. Does anyone know how I could get in touch with him?

Thanks
Emma

Hi,
my name is Mark Thompson and I am a solicitor operating out of the UK. I am acting for a client, who is on the receiving end of some of Paul Carroll's dealings. I would like to talk to people who know more about Paul Carroll, and, in particular, to those people who have been on the receiving end of some of his 'practices',
Mark

4 EDITION 572 :: CANARY ISLANDS : 30/08/2008 - 13/09/2008 :: ISLAND CONNECTIONS

A well-known Lanzarote
businessman is mourning
the tragic loss of his teenage
daughter in a car accident
back in England.
Paul Carroll, 56, of Güime,
was contacted on Saturday
night, August 9, with the
devastating news that 17-
year-old Faith was on a lifesupport
machine after the
incident near Maldon, Essex.
She’d only recently passed
her driving test and the fatal
smash occurred during atrocious
weather conditions. Mr
Carroll flew to Gatwick Airport
on the first available flight the
next day and was driven by
police to reach his daughter’s
bedside at Broomfield

Tragic crash By Ian White
Paul Carroll is devastated by
the loss of his 17 year old
daughter

Hospital, Chelmsford, before
the machine was turned off.
Timeshare entrepreneur Mr
Carroll was joined by partner
Kathy Holden for the funeral
at the end of August. Youth
club worker Ms Holden, 38,
said: “We are absolutely
devastated. Faith was such an
intelligent girl with her whole
life ahead of her. She visited
us in Lanzarote several times
and, through her love of
horses, was involved with the
stables in Soo. It’s so strange
as I was only telling someone
about her in the week and
then I had a peculiar feeling
about road safety as we
went out on the night of the
accident in England.”
Mr Carroll, based on
Lanzarote for two decades,
has four other children, two
of whom live on the island.

Paul Carroll

The following details maybe of some help:-

Kathy Holden's contact details (his girlfriend) are as follows:-

Address and phone number removed - Webby.

I have also heard on very good authority that he was arrested about two weeks in Barcelona and is in prison. If that is any consideration to all of you who undoubtedly have been "ripped off" by this "person". Considering half of Lanzarote has put denuncias against him I would be very surprised if he had flown via a Spanish airport as he should have known he would automatically be thrown in prison. Let's just hope it's true. About time he got his come uppence. And before that he is in Guatemala running a restaurant - maybe he is still there - who knows. Sorry can't help any further.

Isn't it a bit irresponsible to put someone's full details on a site like this? You know how many nutters ther are in the world? :sad

I know nothing about this bloke nor his misdemeanours but posting details of his g/f is really rotten, along with her phone number. And what's your angle Akimbo? First and last post here no doubt. :rolleyes

And Jenica, WHERE ARE YOU with your mad deleting finger??? :rolleyes

Daft that you will remove innocent, innocuous posts offering help but leave something like this on. It would not happen on any other forum.:sad

I can confirm that supposedly Paul Carroll will be attending Ipswich Crown Court on 9 March 2009 as a witness against someone who supposedly confronted him about his dodgy trading practices in Lanzarote. Well I hope he does attemd amd he gets his comeuppance as there will be a welcome committee awaiting him from his so called friends from Lanzarote who are in favour of giving evidence guess what AGAINST him. Heres hoping he has the bottle to attend what do you think?

Question

Just wondering did Paul Carroll turn up in Court on 9th March, and if so did it snow in Arrecife?

Sad!!!

I am Paul Carrolls Eldest daughter, and I can't believe that people who must be very sad individuals, would set up a web site to air such a personal
family tragedy so publicly. Yes my dad may have wronged some people!!! But for my half sisters death to be spoke about so casually is an insult to us as a family. My sisters death has nothing to do with my dad leaving the island or the problems he left behind and whoever thought it OK to put on here about her death should be ashamed of themselves and I hope to dear god that they dont sleep at night!!!! as she was 17!!!!!!!!!

Witch hunt someone else because he is gone and no he isnt in prison in any country.

U SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

It is a tragedy for Paul and his family that his 17 year old daughter was killed in a car crash. The post relating to this was only offering this as an explanation for Paul's disappearance from Lanzarote, and no matter how badly Paul treated his clients and colleagues, none of them would have wished this tragedy on Paul and his family. However, it is clear that Paul's disappearance is due to his inability to take responsibility for his actions. SO SHAME ON PAUL CARROLL FOR HIS MENDACIOUS VENALITY!

Exclamation

Hello, just to point out the thread was started back in October and the first mention of the tragedy wasn't until December. Anyone actually reading that post will note it's a straightforward copy of a news report with no comment added by the sender. I don't observe anyone subsequently talking about the death "casually". Mr Carroll left the island at the time of the accident and, for whatever reason has not been back since. If anything, drawing the awful incident to people's attention should have helped eliminate the gossip.

I'm sorry Paddric. I tried to edit your post to take out the parts that were potentially libellous, but it then didn't make any sense, so I've had to delete it.

I'm not sure this thread is going anywhere, or that it's any benefit to anyone.

Ah well you do what you have to webby, there were no libelous statements in any of my words and any one who know this person well knows what was said was entirely true...

But like i said before, who gives a crap anyway, and I agree, this thread is pointless, I suggest you remove it entirely...

I understand that Paul Carroll was back in Lanzarote about three months ago. As to the benefit of this post, if I had seen such a post before I dealt with Paul Carroll I would have not done business with him. Surely it is an important part of the forum for people to be able to gain information in respect to Lanzarote and who has a good reputation to deal with and who does not.

Paul Carroll

For anyone who may be interested...I was recently in attendance at Arrecife Court in the public gallery. Paul Carroll's name was given by the defence council, they have requested his attendance as a witness in a civil case on the 11th of november 2009, I wonder if the court will have more success in locating him???

Timeshare scam probe is praised

The court heard the scam revolved around 94 holiday lodges
A council said it will continue to take "robust action" against rogue traders after a trading standards investigation into a timeshare scam. Denbighshire Council were commended for an "exemplary investigation" after two men were jailed for a £460,000 fraud.
Judge John Rogers QC praised their "competence and their commitment" in helping bring the men to justice.
Mold Crown Court heard one of the men threatened the chief investigator by saying "I will come after you".
The judge highlighted the work of Philip Richards, the trading standards official threatened by Arthur Goddard, 60, who ran Graig Park Village Ltd in Dyserth.
Goddard was jailed for two and a half years, along with sales director Alan Hill, 51.
The judge said: "These two accused have been convicted of defrauding the public as a result of a very professional and persistent investigation by Mr Philip Richards and other officers of Denbighshire County Council's trading standards department.
"Trading standards departments have limited resources. In this case, those resources have been expended economically and effectively.
"They nipped in the bid a fraud which could have caused much more loss and anguish."
'Big case'
Iwan Prys Jones, Denbighshire's corporate director, environment , said the council was "delighted" with the verdict after what had been a "big case" for the local authority.
He added: "As the judge pointed out, it was an exemplary investigation by Denbighshire's trading standards team and our thanks goes to them for their hard work as well as North Wales Police financial investigation unit.
"The council will continue to take robust action against any individual or company we suspect of fraudulent trading.
"It simply will not be tolerated."
Bank loan
The court heard how Goddard, with his brother, bought Graig Park at Dyserth 13 years ago and developed it into a holiday and leisure complex with lodges, bar, restaurant and hotel.
Alan Hill, who had experience of selling timeshares in Lanzarote, joined them in 1996 and headed a team of salesmen.
In 2006 a £5m bank loan was taken out and 94 it was decided that the 94 lodges at the park would be marketed on a timeshare basis.
The prosecution alleged that a massive sales drive began in May 2007 to show the business could service the loan.
When the investigation began, trading standards officer Philip Richards found that of the 124 agreements entered into, 59 had no cancellation rights written into them.
Deposits were paid on 62 agreements, totalling £70,000.
Part exchange allowances ranged from £3,000 to £13,000 and the value of part exchange business was £392,000.
Goddard claimed he had not been involved in timeshare sales while he was director, claiming that had been left to his co-defendant Hill.
Goddard's brother, David Goddard, 55, and Goddard's son-in-law Christopher Gibbs, 37 - who are both directors - were cleared by the jury.

Hi.
i am one of Paul Carroll's children and what you have said is not true. He did try and keep in contact with faith, yes he should have had more contact with her & he knows that so yes he is guilty but my dad loved faith just as much as all of us. Also i wouldnt say 'deserted' was the right word. However i am not sticking up for him and his actions as i know they are wrong but i do talk to my dad often and have done for the last couple of years.
Its hard enough to come on here reading things about him. but hearing lies is just worse. My sisters death shouldnt even be discussed on here its nothing to do with anyone!!

Hi Paula

I am sorry that you have been hurt by some of the comments about your sister. It is so easy for people to tar a whole family with the same brush.

To lose your sister so young must have been a devastating experience for you and your other siblings.

I am glad though that you do not support your Dads´ business dealings. We all love our kids/parents no matter what they have done.

However, unfortunately your Dad´s dodgy deals have left myself and my husband with crippling debts which we have no way of paying. Our pension fund is completely wiped out and we are living on a shoestring.

I wonder how well your Dad is living?

Regards

G

I just feel is it completely unacceptable for people to discuss her death when it is nothing to do with them, they didn't know her and they did not know the amount of love my dad had and still does have for her. For them to say "he had nothing to do with her" etc. I strongly feel that it is cruel! I should not have to defend my sister or my dad for that matter. On the other hand i am truly sorry you are having to deal with financial problems, it can't be easy for you both. Even though we are in contact I'm afraid i am not familiar with where he is or how he is living.
