Boilers and Carbon monoxide

After the sad death of 2 children who lost their lives due to carbon monoxide poisoning. I was wondering how safe the boilers are in Lanzarote. Has anyone ever had any problems , and, how can we find out how safe they are in the apartments we rent ?

boilers

hello everyone.hope you are all well, tho by the looks of it not many folk around here, where you all gone?
anyway, don't quote me,but the majority of water heaters in lanza are eletric and don't use gas of any sort,it's difficult to get connected to gas here as you need a special licence for the bottles and can only buy a full one when you have an empty to exchange it with, they are quite strict on this.
hope this puts people at ease.there are no fumes given off from eletric boilers.
well i'm off to feed hubby, dog and now guniea pigs!! the list gets longer!

hope to speak to you all soon xxxx

Thanks Spud, I wasn't to worried until I realised that not one person who rented out accommodation answered.................did that mean they hadn't got a clue or didn't care ? In which case I wouldn't have booked with them.

Spud is correct. I can only think of one property, out of hundreds I've seen, that has a gas water heater - they're all electric.

Just to put this in stone, I've never seen a gas water heater ever in PDC so everyone should be fine :)
