PDC "local" news

Hi all, hope everyone is keeping well.

PDC News

I decided to start up a news section on a site I own and run but with a bit of a differance.
Most new sites cover the big events, illegals coming to the islands, goverement issues etc

This site is getting some 400+ people a day and the news they are looking for is not the big events of Lanzarote.

So this news section will cover the little things, changes of bar/restaurant owners, new bars/restaurants, gossip (like someone might be selling somewhere) this kind of thing.

I found that when people are coming over and into PDC they are always commenting on how bars have changed hands and wonder where the old owners have gone so I though this kind of news might be helpful to people.

Anyway if anyone wants to add some news up there and advertise to a few hundred people, you are more than welcome :)

JP

Nice one JP.

What sort of place is it ?

Rumm

It's just a big bar which turns into a 'night club' at night mate. It's getting mainly spanish in at the moment (maybe because there is no bugger about at the moment). Most have said it's ok but drinks are very expensive :)

Well funny you should say that.. no is the answer :p

I am however producing the best map for PDC you will find, it's a total of 3 maps of the whole of PDC.

Map 1 will show every bar
Map 2 will show every Restaurant
Map 3 will show every Hotel/apartment complex

As you can guess this is going to take a while but I will get it finished.

Once the maps are complete it will link in with the reviews on the site.

Large job and I can only do it when I have time but I'll be sure to let everyone know when it's done. :)

That is an excellent idea JP.. well done lad..:clap

I mean, how often do we see people asking questions about where did so and so go and is such and such still on the go???

I reckon it's an excellent site...just the ticket for regular visitors and residents alike...

Great idea J.P., should prove very popular. We will be over again in November and I plan to do the Lanzarote quarter Marathon again, this time for a Lanzarote charity - any suggestions?

jkinghambrown:

Glad to see you are doing it again :)

If it's ok with you I'll get some questions together and send them over to you (online interview) and get it posted on the site, you never know it may drum up some support for you :)
