Are there any Irish or English organisations helping our own, here in Lanzarote. By that I mean people helping our fellow men and women. Helping those who have fallen on hard times through illness, unemployment, family breakdown, mental health problems, imprisonment etc.

This is a beautiful island, but if your are unlucky it can become a cruel and unforgiving one.

Are there any repatriation programmes to help those who need to leave but cant afford to.

How do people access homeless shelters, food centres, womens refuges etc, how many exist.

We all know where to recommend our friends with sick animals and strays, and many organisations for animals, Sara, Pals etc who do trojan work and who I support wholeheartedly.

But where do I go to support my fellow men and women. I am sure there are many organisations out there, how do we find them.
