Estate agents in Lanzarote?

Can anyone recommend an estate agent that is willing to work for their commission? I just want an old fashioned estate agent that will have a list of potential customers that they will phone to say they have a new house on their books for sale. Trying to sell a house and its with a few agents but none of them seem to want to do anything to earn the commission, just wait for someone to come through the door?!? Any recommendations would be great....thanks :)

Our experience of estate agents in Lanzarote (and Spain) was that:

1) anyone can be an estate agent. So anyone very often is.

2) no qualifications seem to be required other than a down-payment on a shop front or a hidey-hole office. So few, if any, are.

3) the concept of exclusive agency seems almost not to exist, so like a great horde of scavengers the opportunistic and the unqualified -- who know no more about chartered surveying than my cat -- grab at any property on a share-out basis and even stick properties on their websites without any reference to the seller at all.

It amazes me that in amongst all this venal dross there were actually any dependable agents who tried to maintain standards and a high calibre of service.

One of 'em used to be based in Playa Blanca, on a shopping parade between Club Puerto Chico and the hotel, though I've no idea if it's still trading.

T'other is Estupendo. Hopefully there are several more, but those are the only two we know from our experience. Good luck.

Perhaps the OP has sold by now. If not, then there's maybe a sea change where estate agents are concerned because by the look of the mailings we receive from several in Lanza, it's desperation time.

(Though reductions of a third in crappy PD apartment blocks that were 70% over-valued in the first place still doesn't rank as any kind of bargain. . .)
