Supermarkets

Hi can anyone tell me about the supermarkets in lanzarote, we are arriving on the 19th dec 07 for a xmas and new year holiday, we would like to buy all the traditoinal foods ie turkey etc etc, can anyone help. We are staying in PLaya blanca

I don't know where you can shop in Playa Blanca, but if you head up to Arrecife you'll get almost everything you need from Eurospar, including the Turkey, bacon, sprouts and all the booze you want.
For the really strange British stuff like stuffing, cranberry sauce and a Christmas pudding, you'll need to go to The English Cash and Carry at Playa Honda, or bring it with you.

There's a fairly large Hiperdino supermarket just off the main road down to the harbour in Playa Blanca. There are also a couple of smaller Nettos and Spars.

all i know is that the supermarkets are open and i think the shops are open on new year but i dunno about eanything else cos i am new to this four room
