Wrong shaped ball for me!

I,ve given up supporting any team now, the premiereship is full of mercenaries, just here to fleece the footie fans.
My home team from when I was a lad was QPR,but since living in the West Country most of my life I,m sorry to say that Swindon is now home. A real roller coaster of a team! We have had great managers in the past, Glen Hoddle, Ossie Ardilles, Lou Macari, and some right w*****s as well. Sometimes i think the first eleven guys that turn up on Saturday with a pair of boots will get a game! Spectators included!!
Still things are looking up, just appointed Danny Wilson as the latest messiah, so watch this space!!! ( A sleeping giant is about to wake):shkhd

Congrats on your point last night it was welcomed up the other end of the East Lancs as well. Now if you could possibly do the same next week and after that the same against Arsenal and then you can lie down like a sleepy puppy waiting for its tummy to be tickled against Utd at OT on 2nd feb.

BTW Ted, when did Everton last score 4 ???

Ole

Yes,
Oct 1984, 5-0 at Goodison, I remember it only too well, one of my few visits there and we did well to get nill !
Everton went on to win the league and United had the last laugh beating Everton in the FA Cup Final, Norman Whiteside scored after Kevin Moran had been sent off. I was at that one as well, enjoyed that one a bit more.
Unfortunately that great Everton team were never able to challenge the rest of Europe due to the sad events at Hysel at the end of that season and the subsequent ban of English teams.

i remember the final myself ole. big norm,s goal was a killer. who would of thought that he would go on to play for everton later on in his career. i think that he is still at united in some sort of job. didnt he train as a physio?

As far as I know big Norm is a Physio living and working (and drinking !) in Altrincham but I don't think he works for United.
He was one of my favourites, very underrated I thought though had no pace although to be fair I'm pretty certain he's beat Ronaldo in the 100m sprint after 8 pints of Guinness - if only that were an Olympic event !
