Begging Letter.....

My daughter-in-law, Sam, is doing a charity parachute jump in aid of cancer in a couple of weeks. Now we all know or have lost someone to cancer, Sam lost her dear grandad not long ago.

So we would be very grateful for any donations to go towards this great cause. Come on guys-show your generous side please!

Thanks

Jackie H.

A huge thank you to OLE for his generous donation to such a worthy cause.

It's not too late folks-please try and spare something-we'd be very grateful.

I thinks she's mad but at the same time very brave.
How refreshing to see someone so young prepared to get up and do something to help others. Its such an indiscriminate disease, perhaps one day we may see a world without it.

£680 in a month is some going! I hope she has a great say.

Update. Needless to say, due to the great British weather, the jump (For 85 nutcases!) was cancelled!! After leaving home at 5am and sitting around until 3pm the organisers decided to call it all off. Now waiting for a new date when it can be arranged. Problem is they are getting a back log now as more and more jumps get cancelled because of the weather-but I'll keep you posted.

Meanwhile....pleased to report Sam has raised about £1500 so far for the cause.

Just been told jump is on for Saturday 9th August-watch this space!

I bet that don't help, get yourself all mentally ready to throw yourself out a plane then things get cancelled, twice I see.

Yup Roy-now changed to September-be snowing by then probably!!:tft

They told Sam to take anti-sickness pills and she is asleep by the time they cancel :rofl so doubt she'd worry too much by the time they push her out :lol

Well.....Sam finally did her jump yesterday!! She said she really enjoyed it, but when I asked "Would you do it again?" the reply was a resounding NO!!! That says it all :rofl

Piccies here...http://www.ukskydiving.com/myskydive...FSZFL_0001.htm

Thanks again to all who donated, think the final total was about £1600.00 plus so excellent result.
