Hi
I lost track of this site a long while ago, and found it again today. I'm so pleased, as there is so much useful information on it. I have been going to Playa Blanca off and on since 1982, and have a time share there. Love the place, and the massive changes that have taken place have not spoiled it. Going back on 13th for my usual two weeks, of sun, sea lovely food, and meeting up with old friends - can't wait!!

Crikey-hello Jean, long time no see! Glad to see you are still enjoying PB and your time share.

You will find the forum much quieter than you remember but still lots of info available.

You must have seen a lot of change since 1982. Surely it must of been no more than a tiny fishing village then. Do you have any photo's to share with us. It would be very interesting so see how it's changed over the years.

When I first went, it really was a fishing village with a few complex. The promenade down on the front was not built, it was rock straight into the sea. The man street was dirt road, and there was 2 supemarkets where the 2 Nettos are. There were only 2 or 3 restaurants, so decisions where to eat were much easier to make!
There were no street lights outside the village so we had to carry a torch at night, but the night sky was magnificent. And electric and water went off often, so everyone always had candles.
I fell in love with it the first time I went, and we bought a timeshare at Las Casitas.
Although it has expanded way outside the village, and it is much busier, I still love going there, I find it a really relaxing place, and can't wait until 13th when I am off again.
I do have photos stashed away somewhere, if I can find them I will try and get them onto this site

Hi Jean
Many thanks for the reply, very interesting. Couple of years ago i saw some aerial photo's of PB, Costa Teg and PDC. They showed up to date photo's along side ones which were approx 25 years old, one hell of a difference in all three locations.
If you do come across yours, please try and post them
