Please help me and my partner and 2 kids (3 and1) want to move to lanzarote put have no idea how to get started what do we need to do interms of visa's, childcare, work and accomadation ive been comin to lanz since I was 4 so its my dream to move here please please help the dream come true

First thing - you need to have plenty of savings!!!!

Visa's not needed if you're all from Europe.

Check out internet for accommodation rentals, either through these forums or independant websites

Regarding work, you need to be very flexible. Most work is hotel/bar. If you have certain skills though you can hunt about for specific types of job.

Kids dont officially go to school here until they are 6, but you can place them from the age of 3 into infantil, where they do the basics.

If you want to move over, my advice is do it before your children are six as the language becomes harder for them to pick up.

Lastly - you must learn to speak spanish. So many brits come out here and can't speak a word. It will make job hunting so much easier, even if you do a conversational spanish course at evening classes, or get tapes etc.

Don't be hasty though, take your time and seriously think everything through - money will slip through your hands otherwise.
