Las Coronas Apartments

I have stayed in 3 different apartments on this complex.
The apartments are all privately owned, so they are individual, and vary in standard.
We stayed first at no: 42,
It had 2 bedrooms, kitchen with a breakfast bar, full oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and iron.
Lounge, with 2 bed settees TV,DVD and stereo. The larger than average patio with a small garden, had tables, chair's and sun beds.
January 2005.
No: 32,Las Coronas,
The layout differed from no 42 having 2 toilets and a small court yard, but with 2 bedrooms. The patio was not quite as large as no 42,but large enough for 2 sun loungers. The TV had Sky and it was all in English.
The beds were very comfortable and had duvets. The kitchen had 2 rings and an oven plus microwave, toaster and iron.
March 2006
No: 37 a ground floor apartment, much the same as no 42, although the living room was little smaller. It was well equiped and comfortable. The garden at the front was enclosed and looked over the pool.

Las Coronas

Stayed there too in number 39, got a great price but then we did book late from lanzaroterentals.com UK company.
Guess most of the apartments are the same ours was 2 bed, 1 bath, large lounge and bar style kitchen.
Place got very hot during the day but wind helped cool it down a bit.
Had a larger patio and garden than others, with table 5 chairs, brolly thing and garden, wasn't totally private though, guess it depends on what you want to do on there LOL

Was equipped with satellite tv, safe, dvd/video player, loada films, books, cd player, full oven grill hob, iron, hairdryer, furniture looked new, wasn't a sofa bed but a big corner sofa.
Complex was VERY quiet, hardly anyone around the pool, pool wasn't the warmest and did look like it needed a bit of TLC but was told that it is being redone early 2007.

food

The pool bar on las coronas is dead handy and the food is great.
(They also own a restaurant thats good, ask them for directions)

Outside the front gate there is a block of shops (1 netto super market) and 4 or 5 restaurants.

Then in Playa Bastian, 5 mins from the complex there is more restaurants, say about 15. Hightily recommend traditional Spanish one called Casa Juan.

Costa Teguise it's self is just no end of places to eat possibly close to 100.

Two good ones are Mahatmacote Indian Restaurant and sports bar, they are next to saxos (CT nightlife) oppozit the occidental hotel (see www.sazos.zapto.org ) for a map.

Car hire is best booked on the web with lanzarote.com
http://www.lanzarote.com/rent-a-car/

you don't have to pay until you pick it up, plus there is also a rent a car shop in Las coronas complex.

I don't wish to agree with Andy, but, we found the pool bar and Casa Juan, very poor. Most places serve the same, so if you are looking for something special try Oscars are Navaros. Also Steptoes serve good meals and the Coronas Playa have happy hour between 5-6pm.
