Talking Manrique

Billy Jo,

Go with Oleoetc tip. A word of warning - at Manrique's foundation, and in his gallery you will find some beautifull paintings where he has used the local volcanic dust to create a 3D landscape. The temptation is to touch it, which is something I am sure he would want - his art is very tactile.

My wife could not resist the temptation and we were duly thrown out by a very officious guard. I laughed like a drain, but my poor wife was terribly embarassed.

Another place, amoung many, worth visiting is Cuevos de las verdes. (The Caves of Green). It'll be on the Lanzarote.com site or any other. It is a cave system created by lava flows and there is an amazing secret in them which I cannot divulge. Visit and find out - you will be stunned.

Also, I can recommend driving up to Orzola and taking a ferry over to La Graciosa for lunch. The trip is just fantastic. Or Down to PB and across to Fuerteventua.

Take the organised tour of Timanfaya National Park - amazing.

If you like beaches, then Papagayos is to die for.

Enjoy - the island is my second home, and one day not too far away, will be my first home.

My place is in Costa Teguise - www.lanzarote-apartment.eu
